Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

MY TEASER:
"He is perfect. His beauty desecrated only by his scars, I think sadly. And they run so much deeper than his skin." Fifty Shades Darker, by E. L. James
This book is the 2nd book in the Fifty Shades trilogy. If you are familiar with the buzz about these books, then you know it was pretty tough to pick a passage that was interesting without being indecent!

Definitely hard to pick a passage without being indecent! And this quote you've chosen! Oh wow! Makes me want to finish the first book right now so I can start on the second! Sounds intense. But the whole thing is intense, so I'm not sure why I'm surprised, :D
LOL Not to hard, I think the best lines are the non-sexual ones.
Janeira, I am actually finding the writing in these books to be repetitive. Not only did I have to skirt around the sex scenes, but I also tried to find a passage that didn't include "smirk", "oh my", "we aim to please", or any of the other phrases that James uses far too much. Despite these faults, I am compelled to keep reading and find out how it ends, so the author must have done something right!
