As a knitter, having several projects on the go is productive for me. If I allow myself to flit between projects as the mood strikes, then I eventually end up with several projects finished rather than being stalled on one project for months (hello, Lanesplitter skirt!). I found this week that the same approach doesn't work quite as well for books. I have four books on the go right now:
Google Adsense for Dummies
Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex
Everything I Know About Love I Learned from Romance Novels
Make the Bread, Buy the Butter
No matter which book I'm reading I feel like I should be reading one of the others, and I'm not particularly captivated by any of them. I've got two novels sitting on my shelf (Timeless and A Royal Pain) that I know will be quick reads, but I will feel guilty if I start yet another book before I tick these off my list. My goal for this week is to either finish them up or abandon them and move on.
GOODREADS 2012 READING CHALLENGE: I've only finished nine books toward my 50-book goal. That puts me one book behind, but if I finish any of the books I mentioned above then I will be right on track.
TBR LIST: I have 215 books on my TBR list. This count only includes books available from my local library. While reducing this list isn't my main goal as it was last year, I will look at paring it down somewhat.

I don't have the patience to knit, so all my energy goes on books. Don't give up! only 1 book behind is nothing! Good luck with your challenge.
