Friday Finds (19 Sep 2008)

This is my first time participating in Friday Finds. The idea is that I'm supposed to list what new books I've heard about or added to my TBR list this week. So here goes:

Hillbilly Gothic: A Memoir of Madness and Motherhood -- I heard about this on Yarn-a-G0-Go. I'm hoping it won't be too depressing.

A Hopeless Romantic -- I read about this on another book blog, but I can't remember which one. It is thicker than I expected a light love story to be.

The Case Against Homework: How Homework Is Hurting Children and What Parents Can Do About It -- I heard about this on Rat Race Rebellion. Our home life seems to revolve around homework these days, so I am anxious to read this one.

Go to Should Be Reading and read about the books that other bloggers have discovered this week.

Thanks for playing along in "Friday Finds"!

Did you find out about "A Hopeless Romantic" through my blog (Should Be Reading)? Because I mentioned it in my Sunday Salon post last week, and just finished it on Tuesday. :)

It is a thick book, but it reads quickly (or at least, it did for me!) ;P

I had heard about "a case against homework." and forgotten about it. It would be an enlightening read. Thanks for the reminder.
